Toronto Beach Private School dedicated to quality Montessori education for ages 2 1/2 to 14

Choosing the best environment for your child is very important. At Avalon Children’s Montessori School, we believe this decision should not be taken lightly, by the family or by the school.  To get a sense of our school, listen here to our school principal, Sherry VanDerKooi, share on Newstalk 1010 how Avalon responded to the school closures due to COVID19 last spring.

Interested families should:

  • Review the website
  • Contact the School to schedule a tour
  • Complete an application to be placed on the waiting list.

casaEarly applications are advised. Space is limited and your child may be placed on a waiting list. Once a spot is available that suits your needs, someone will contact you for an observation and/or interview. Observations are scheduled for adults only and are a mandatory component of the registration process.

All Elementary and Senior students are required to wear a school uniform. We believe a uniform instills respect for self, for peers and for the learning environment. A uniform eliminates stereotypes among peers.

We would welcome the opportunity to speak to you about your child and their needs.

Learning Support Program

The Learning Support Program is designed to meet the needs of those students at the elementary level, grades 1 through 8, who have been diagnosed with learning disabilities or other challenges for achieving success at school. The LSP complements the current Montessori elementary program, providing children with learning challenges extra time and attention to focus on those areas that require additional support, particularly academics.  Registrants must have a current assessment and an IEP.  Please be aware we are unable to accommodate for one on one support.   Space is very limited for this program.  You can speak with us for more information.
